SCOTTLAND jetted into Bulawayo in two groups on Thursday ahead of their Independence Cup final clash with Highlanders in Maphisa on Saturday.

Club chief executive officer Jonathan Mashingaidze confirmed on Thursday that Mabviravira were already in the City of Kings and Queens.

“Scottland Football Club has landed in Bulawayo for the crunch 2026 Independence Cup final against Highlanders FC.

The first batch of players arrived on the Fastjet morning flight. The last batch comprising the technical team lands this afternoon,” said Mashingaidze.

An explosive encounter is on the cards with Highlanders out to redeem themselves after a string of draws dating to August last year in the Castle Lager Premiership.

Highlanders first win their first Independence Cup final in 1986.
