WATCH: Several injured in Mahatshula road accident

Several people were injured and rushed to hospital after a commuter omnibus they were travelling in was involved in an accident along the Bulawayo-Harare Road in Mahatshula on Monday.

Witnesses said the commuter omnibus was sideswiped by another vehicle before overturning, leaving several passengers with injuries of varying degrees.

Emergency services and members of the public swiftly responded to the scene and assisted the injured before they were transported to hospital for treatment.

The extent of the injuries and the number of people involved could not be immediately established.
