South Africa’s most sought after Gospel ensemble, Spirit of Praise is set to make a grand appearance in Bulawayo on October 13 at the Harvest House International Conference Centre.

This is the second time for the multi-award winning outfit to perform in Zimbabwe, after they staged a sold-out gig last year in November at The Hippodrome in Harare.

Led by the legendary Bishop, Benjamin Dube, artistes who will exchange the mic in Psalms will be Dumi Mkokstad, Omega, Mmatema, Mpumi Mstweni, Takie Ndou as well as Sindi Ntombela.

Canaan Nyathi as well as fellow Zimbabwean Everton Mlalazi who was recently signed under the Spirit of Praise movement will also be part of the performers.

The event will be ground breaking and a milestone to the Harvest House church as it will be the first massive Gospel entertainment event to be held at the US$42 million Conference Centre which opened last year – with a capacity of holding 10 500 people.

This is a must attend gig particular to Gospel music lovers as the much-anticipated gig will see Spirit of Praise belting out songs from their latest album released today (September6), recorded at Sun Bet Arena, Time Square, Pretoria, South Africa on May 25.

t of Praise member, Canaan Nyathi who is now a regular performer in Bulawayo, said he is super excited to be “returning home” as he promised to deliver his best on the show.

He also revealed that as part of his set, he will perform his latest offering Ukwenzile, a testimonial song that he wrote reflecting on what God has done in his life to be successful.

“Spirit of Praise is appreciated so much by Gospel lovers from all over Africa and the world. Zimbabwe, Bulawayo in particular has been calling for such a show to be held in the city of Kings and finally we will perform at the Harvest House International Conference Centre.

“With us coming in the city for fellowship and worship is by the Grace of God as He led us to come and minister here at the same time fulfilling the wishes of our wonderful followers.

“I will perform various songs at the gig, but I will also sing my latest contribution to our latest album, which is Ukwenzile. The song is self-explanatory. In the composition I approve that God is capable of making your dreams come true. Once He declares something to be accomplished, He will definitely do it in your life,” said Nyathi.

Mlalazi who had his debut on the latest offering said he is glad that he is now part of the most streamed African Gospel outfit on YouTube.

“It’s an honour to be part of Spirit of Praise and to be performing with the group in my city of birth. The gig promises to be an amazing night of worship. I encourage people to buy their tickets on time to avoid disappointment as this will definitely be recorded as a night to remember,” said Mlalazi.

Tickets are available at Booties Pharmacies and Harvest House International Church branches.
