The duo, Attalia and Samukelisiwe Zhou were buried next to their mother Norah Zhou at the family’s burial yard. Speaking during the funeral service, the victim’s brother Thulani Zhou applauded the efforts of the general public in helping the family bury the twin sisters.

“We appreciate the support that we received from the general public, it was not an easy task but they came in numbers to support us in dealing with this predicament. I am glad that everything went smoothly from the time they left South Africa to the moment when they were laid to rest,” he said.

A representative from the Dube family who were the in-laws to Attalia said there was a need for counselling for the bereaved families.

“There is a need for counselling in dealing with this challenge, I will not point to what each and every individual who was present at the scene saw but as a man l need counselling because we are gathered here because of a fellow who did not have a conscience,” he said.

Dube appreciated the support that they received and urged the public to continue helping people who met up with similar predicaments.

“We appreciate the support that we received even when we were gathered in South Africa, a number of people came to support us in dealing with this predicament. We are grateful for the help that we got especially from the Lunga family which helped us with transport,” he said.
