THE nation has solidified its standing as a global tourism hub after United Nations Tourism Secretary-General Shaikha Al Nuwais unveiled the brand-new logo for the International Year of Sustainable and Resilient Tourism 2027 in Victoria Falls on Monday.

The unveiling took place at the 23rd UN Tourism Meeting of the Committee on Tourism and Sustainability, held under the patronage of First Lady Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa.

The two-day conference has drawn high-level delegations from across the world.

The newly revealed emblem, a dandelion rooted in place yet capable of spreading ideas globally will be used by the UN General Assembly to mark 2027 following its proclamation last year.

Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Barbara Rwodzi hailed the moment as a powerful endorsement of the Second Republic’s policies.

UN Tourism Secretary General Ms Shaikha Al Nuwais, visibly moved by her visit to the Falls, urged the world to experience the iconic landmark.
