THEY might be the underdogs, but Dynamos are not losing sleep over that.
The Glamour Boys even believe they can knock out FC Platinum in their Chibuku Super Cup quarter-final showdown.
The two clubs clash at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
The two teams have faced each other twice, this season, and shared the spoils on both occasions.
However, FC Platinum appear to have one hand on the league trophy, as they are eight points clear of DeMbare.
Speaking ahead of the match, DeMbare head coach, Tonderai Ndiraya, said his men were prepared to fight to progress to the next round.
He believes chances of a League and Cup double were still alive.
“We know what is at stake and to get a good result means we have to be at our best,” he said.
“But, we have prepared well.
“There is a lot of tension in a game of this magnitude. “We haven’t thrown the towel yet in the league race.
“This means both teams will be looking for a double this season and, booking a place in the semi-final, is important for us.”
He added:
“We are in control of this match, unlike in the league race, where FC Platinum have it in their hands.
“So, we are going to put everything into it, so that we progress to the next round.
“We are going to work hard and, hopefully, we will emerge as victors.”
He said defence will be key.
“If you look at the statistics, we are the two best teams defensively.
“But, we would like the game to have many goals so that the fans enjoy.
“Dynamos have struggled in this tournament since its inception, and we want to do better this time around.
“But, we have to take one step at a time and it starts with the big hurdle against FC Platinum.”
