adminmeteorological officer Mr Jonathan Chifuna said amounts expected from these should be insignificant for farming activities.
He said from Friday, a band of disturbed weather should move into Zimbabwe from Botswana and this should increase rainfall activity.
“This is due to the high temperatures that we, as the country, are experiencing at the moment,” he said.
He said some areas should realise amounts in access of 30mm in 24 hours, especially over Matabeleland North, South and Bulawayo.
Mr Chifuna urged farmers to make sure that their livestock are safe from the storm especially in areas susceptible to falling power cables.
“Farmers should make sure that their livestock are safe especially during the night where more rainfall will be experienced,” he said.
Mr Chifuna said although some areas are receiving more rainfall there are some parts of Zimbabwe which are not receiving any amount of rainfall.
