THIS is likely to be the WEDDING OF THE YEAR!

There will be 250 guests, including 200 who have flown in from the United Kingdom, when Jenifer Marawa and John Sitima tie the knot on the exotic Mediterranean island of Cyprus tomorrow.

The 250 guests are family members and their business colleagues from Zimbabwe, United Kingdom, Malawi, South Africa and Zambia.

The couple has villas in Cyprus and have promised their guests the time of their lives.

They have settled for Maimba Mapuranga as their Master of Ceremonies and flown him to Cyprus where he is already enjoying himself on the shores of the Mediterranean.

Ahead of the wedding, the bride and groom exclusively spoke to H-Metro.

H-METRO: Congrats, this should be one of the Weddings of the Year, how are you feeling?

JOHN AND JENIFER: We are feeling so excited and honoured by all the guests who have sacrificed to fly here They have left their jobs, beautiful homes and commitments, to share this special day with us.

H-METRO: Cyprus, that’s an exotic place for a wedding, any special reason it was chosen?

JOHN AND JENIFER: We have chosen Cyprus because we love the Mediterranean lifestyle here. We love the food here. Cyprus is our second home. We have villas here hence we said Cyprus is our second home. And we also would like our family and friends to experience the beauty of Cyprus, take a tour and just relax by the beach as they soak in the Mediterranean.

H-METRO: 250 guests, that’s quite a big number, are all these family and friends?

JOHN AND JENIFER: They are family members and business colleagues from Zimbabwe, United Kingdom, Malawi, South Africa and Zambia.

H-METRO: About 200 guests from the UK, that’s amazing support for this wedding, how does that feel to get such overwhelming support?

JOHN AND JENIFER: We are both tongue-tied. We feel honoured. We feel like crying.

H-METRO: Anything else you wish to add ahead of the big day?

JOHN AND JENIFER: It’s a beautiful love story and we are happy that people have come to celebrate with us. We want our guests to enjoy and always remember this beautiful day here in Cyprus, we have so much we have planned for our guests and we really would want them to feel welcome and have the time of their lives.

Mapuranga has been having the time of his life in Cyprus.

“I have always called myself an International Master of Ceremonies. I have always made sure I affirm myself first before anyone chooses to.

“From High School, I have always been aware of God’s calling in my life regarding his gift that He gave me and where it would take me.

“Over the years, it has taken me to the States, the UK, Dubai (almost took me to Australia and will still do) and many African countries.

“Today, this gift has brought me to Cyprus, you have to understand me when I always sign off #NdiMwari, nekuti Ndiye!

“I am really excited to be in Cyprus this week, ready to dazzle and floor guests attending Jenifer and John’s wedding this Friday, a whole 250 strong guests lined up with about 200 of them from the UK.

“For me , every gig is another stage to shine and secure the next bag, I pray I get, at least, five jobs from these guests, which means I will be doing the UK soon (Mwari uyu), I really can’t wait for this one.

“Be the maverick of your trade and business, be the rockstar because no one is going to make you one.”
