Like it or not, it is Chiefs Village that has transformed this once-sleepy spot into the cultural hub it is today.
Yet if you ask a handful of Bulawayo residents what their favourite bar in the city is, likely, you won’t hear the same answer twice. But Chiefs Village has become a venue of choice for many.
Accepting no time-warp partying and burlesque boogaloo substitutes, clubbers have Chiefs Village as the original and the best retro party starter. Heading into the weekend, clubbers can dedicate their whole weekend to this leisure spot.
This Thursday, Chiefs Village is hosting a Karoake Cocktails, an event tailor-made for patrons to enjoy, belting out their favourite big-band tunes with DJ Zet Heart. Chiefs Village manager, Boss Zizolex said they will give away free cocktails to ladies while lots of competitions and prizes have been set aside as well.
Come, Woza Friday and DJ Crazy Black mixes it up back to back with DJ Zet Heart before Ras Khumbu and DJ Tawaz get the weekend smashing for patrons at Goat Weekend where goat meat, trotters, and hooves will be served for free to patrons. Sunday at Chiefs Village is dedicated to old-school clubbers with DJ Zet Heart and Boss Zozolex taking care of the patrons on the decks.
“This and every other weekend is niceness at Chiefs Village. Our weekend diary of events is designed to make us the place to be for outdoor and indoor fun in Bulawayo,” Boss Zozolex told B Metro.
