Wenger loves Bob Marley

LONDON. — Arsene Wenger has “One Love” when he’s on his way to Arsenal training – the music of reggae legend Bob Marley. The Gunners boss has revealed his admiration of Marley, as a musician and as a man, in a surprise insight into his life away from the football field.

Wenger drives to Arsenal’s London Colney headquarters each morning and it seems the man featuring in the “Most Played” section of his iPhone might well be the “No Woman, No Cry” icon.

“I love his music and the man that he was,” Wenger said of Marley.

“He was not ‘fabricated’. He was real. I love people who do not have conventional paths and who stand out because of their talent. Raymond Devos and Pierre Desproges are also some of my favourite comedians.”

Wenger’s love of comedy may also come as a surprise to some supporters. He tends to maintain a stony-faced demeanour in his public life, but at home it is apparently a different story.

Former Arsenal players have spoken of Wenger’s humour in the past and the Frenchman says he hides it away as a result of the huge pressures of his job — even though it has an effect on his public appearance. — Mailonline.
