A YOUNG entrepreneur says there is a lot of bullying on the local business landscape especially for rising businessmen who are showing signs of being on the path to success.
Tinashe Changweya, 30, runs Fumati Engineers, a company which is involved in the construction of shopping malls, stadiums and schools.
He says he has been battling unfair challenges from his firm’s rivals.
“I firmly believe in homegrown solutions to everyday challenges, which is why I started my engineering company from humble beginnings to play my part in growing the economy and creating jobs for my generation.
“We specialise in structural engineering, mechanical engineering, fabrication and plant fitting.
“However, our journey has not been without adversity.
“Some seek to take advantage of our services without payment but we remain undeterred. Our mission is greater than these setbacks,” he said.
Changweya lamented the existence of unfair practices where established players bully emerging businesses.
“Injustice anywhere is a threat to fairness everywhere.
“It’s disheartening that even when we give it our all, we encounter unfair practices from those who believe they can succeed by stepping on others.
“Our goal is to become a leading market force and we thank our clients and stakeholders for their support.”
He added:
“While we are proud of our achievements, we are not complacent.
“We plan to extend our reach into neighbouring countries, solidifying our presence across Africa and demonstrating our capabilities.
“We are building a legacy brand designed to make a lasting impact on the market.”
