West Prop Holdings has officially handed over the 112 flats in Block 3 at Millennium Heights in Harare to their owners.
The luxury apartment complex, located at the end of Maxwell Road, Borrowdale West, boasts top-notch amenities, including recreational facilities like Millennium Park, with a lake, trees, and manicured gardens, as well as a walking and cycling track, a play area for children, swimming pools, tennis court, gym and clubhouse.
West Prop Holdings chief executive Mr Ken Sharpe promised the new residents a “mini-Dubai” at Millennium Park.
The newest block of apartments that adorn the Millennium Park, one of the company’s biggest mixed-use lifestyle estates, are part of the 1 000 being built over 10 years.
Yesterday’s proceedings were more of a meet-the-customer event allowing feedback from the customers and investors. The event also accorded WestProp a platform to share its upcoming projects with the people.
Local Government and Public Works Deputy Minister Engineer Benjamin Kabikira and senior Government officials attended the ceremony.

In his speech, Eng Kabikira said the project was a shining example of what can be achieved when the public and private sectors come together to address housing needs.
“The private sector has been instrumental in providing housing solutions, social amenities, and beautifying our great city of Harare. There is no doubt we need more such partnerships, and my Ministry is ready to work with you all in achieving similar projects.
“As we hand over these apartments, we are not just transferring ownership; we are building communities, creating homes, and shaping the future of our city. I urge the new owners to take pride in their new homes and to work together to maintain the high standards set by this development,” he said.
“To our private sector partners, I extend my sincerest gratitude for your commitment to providing affordable housing solutions. Your investment in our city is a testament to your faith in our vision for a better Harare. Let us continue to work together to build a city that is vibrant, inclusive, and prosperous for all in the spirit of leaving no one and no place behind.”
Eng Kabikira urged the company to extend its developments to other cities and to have packages that suit all social classes.
Residents of the apartment units can now put final touches that include furnishing and other décor fittings while waiting to officially occupy the apartments sometime next month.
With the completion of Block 3, the focus now shifts to the ED Block, which will have six cascading floors and 86 apartment units with studio to three-bedroom units on offer. Each apartment block brings with it unique features that differentiate it from the rest to bring novelty and diversity in architectural designs.
West Prop Holdings has reaffirmed its desire to grow the housing stock and reduce the shortage of accommodation through the provision of luxury dwellings. The company has a vision to lay one billion bricks by 2050 — a feat that will translate into thousands of flats and houses.
Mr Sharpe is on record hyping the development saying: “We are certainly playing our part in rebuilding Zimbabwe and contributing towards the middle-income society by 2030. Our punchline is ‘Bringing Dubai to Zimbabwe’.”
West Prop is building safe gated community neighbourhoods where people can live, work, shop and play as well as enjoy amenities that include sporting facilities for tennis, swimming, running, and walking tracks, braai areas, crèches, churches, co-working spaces, shopping malls, internet connectivity and green energy in the form of solar energy.
