What is eczema and how can it be controlled?

adults are believed to have eczma.
Eczema is slightly more common in girls than in boys. It occurs in people of all races.
Eczema is not contagious, but since it is believed to be at least partially inherited, it is not uncommon to find members of the same family affected.

Symptoms
Dry, reddened skin that itches or burns, although the appearance of eczema varies from person to person and varies to the specific type of eczema
Intense itching is generally the first symptom in most people with eczema. Sometimes it can lead to blisters and oozing lesions but it can sometimes result in dry and scaly skin.
Repeated itching may lead to thickened crusty skin.
Treatment
Currently there is no treatment but a remedies to manage and control it include:
l Changing laundry soap, change environment and diet.
l Identify the allergy through allergy test.
l Avoid skin from getting dry by taking a warm shower (not hot)
l Dry your body fully and apply skin moisturising creams prescribed by a doctor.
l Avoid using lotions with fragrances or other irritating substances
l Avoid wearing tight fitting, rough or scratchy clothing
l The best remedy is to reduce scratching on the rush.
