WhatsApp addiction sells out cheat

Gibson Mhaka
A cheating Bulawayo woman was allegedly sold out by her children because of her addiction to WhatsApp.

Phillip Bhebhe from Nketa 7 suburb claimed his estranged wife Edith Nyonias bed hopping antics were exposed by their children who apparently felt she was neglecting them as she was always on WhatsApp.

Bhebhe, who was seeking a protection order against Nyoni at the Bulawayo Civil Court, said problems started when his wife bagan coming home late.

a?I am seeking a protection order against Edith for the following reasons. She verbally abuses me in front of our children and relatives. She is also coming to my workplace to cause problems. She was also engaging in illicit affairs and it was discovered by our children.

a?This was because she was no longer taking care of them as she was always on WhatsApp and sometimes she would come home late when we were all asleep.

a?Since we are no longer staying together I do not want her to come to my work place and place of residence,a? pleaded Bhebhe.

He said he resorted to taking the legal route after efforts by their relatives and pastors to solve their disputes proved futile.

In response, Nyoni said problems started after she denied Bhebhe his conjugal rights arguing that they should go for HIV testing.

a?We have been staying together for 15 years before he moved out to stay alone. When he once came back I denied him conjugal rights arguing that we should first go for HIV testing.

a?That is when he told me that I should find something to do because he was no longer interested in me.

a?His landlady is the reason why he is barring me from visiting him where he is now staying. She is now the one who is cooking for him and keeping his bedroom keys. Because of that she does not want to see me at the house and I do not have problems with that,a? said Nyoni.

In his ruling, the presiding magistrate Sheunesu Matova said there was no need to grant the protection order after Nyoni said she had no problems with her estranged husbandas demands that she should not come to his place. . .
