Whawha to receive Nyaradzo bus

FUNERAL service provider, Nyaradzo Group is set to come to the rescue of Premiership debutants, Whawha by donating a bus to them. The prisons and correctional services side does not have a team bus at the moment and hires private transport operators for the games. Nyaradzo Life Assurance managing director, Webster Chikengezha confirmed that the company is set to donate the bus.

“We have met with the team management and we have agreed to give them a team bus. However, the bus is yet to be delivered to them but it will be soon,” he said.

The development comes as a morale booster to the team which faces Caps United on Sunday in its maiden Premiership campaign.

Club chairperson, Musa Ntonga expressed appreciation to the funeral services company for the gesture.

“It is true that Nyaradzo are donating a bus to us and we appreciate that gesture. We will have peace of mind knowing that we have reliable transport to fulfil our league matches. We are now awaiting the delivery of the bus and if it comes before our first match against Caps United it will motivate the boys,” he said.

League champions Dynamos, Caps United and army side Buffaloes are some of the teams in the Premiership who have benefitted from buses provided by Nyaradzo.

Black Rhinos and Black Mambas also received buses from the funeral service provider during their stint in the topflight league.

Nyaradzo Group broadened their involvement in football when they unveiled the partnership dubbed “The Score Pack Plan” with the Premiership clubs two years ago.

Meanwhile, Whawha held their annual general meeting on Wednesday where members failed to ratify the club’s constitutional changes.

Ntonga said another meeting would be convened soon as the Gweru based outfit’s constitution is not in line with PSL and Zifa constitutions.
