A BEER is a beer but if drinking pays off you wonat wake up with a hangover and by the way, dreams do come true. Thatas the case for two people, one from Bulawayo and the other from Mutare who won life changing assets from different promotions at the weekend.
Tinarwo Tapfumaneyi (30) won a house courtesy of African Distillers while Loice Chacha (who was particular about her age) walked away with a car at Jah Prayzahas Pure Drop promotion on Saturday when he launched his album in Bulawayo.
Both winners who are self-employed never dreamt their habits were going to pay off.
a?I never thought I would own a house this early in life because things are very tough. I struggled to just get a stand.
So the house that I won came as a true blessing,a? said Tapfumaneyi who is a first time house owner.
Chacha, a vendor in the city, is over the moon and still canat grasp her victory reality.
a?I had a dream of owning a car but I didnat expect to win it. When I heard my number being called out, I couldnat believe that I had won a car,a? she said.
Both winners had something to celebrate after winning, but Tapfumaneyi seemed the most elated stating he had won a lifetime drinking passport.
a?My wife never wanted anything to do with beer, but after I told her that we won a house because of drinking Gold Blend she was happy. I guess from now on we wonat have a beer problem,a? he said.
Still overwhelmed by the prospect of being a landlord and a driver Tapfumaneyi and Chacha have no plans of selling their acquired possessions.
a?I will not sell the car as it is a gift from God and I am very grateful,a? said Chacha who does not have a driveras licence.
Her car is parked at home until she gets one.
Tapfumaneyi also revealed that he is now one of the few people in his family to own a house.
