When love turns sour

A HARARE man yesterday accused his ex-girlfriend of causing a scene at his workplace when she stabbed him with a knife.

Ian Mashayamomb applied for a peace order against his former girlfriend, Albertina Bangure, at the Harare Civil Court yesterday.

Ian stated that he terminated the relationship and Albertina was now demanding money from him as compensation for ending the affair.

He said she had no right to come to his residency to damage his property.

“She assaulted and attacked me with stones leaving me with a wounded forehead.

“She then attacked me with a knife,” he said.

He claimed Albertina was an abusive woman who takes advantage of the fact that he was a quiet man.

“She was banned from coming to my workplace.

“I am now afraid that I will end up retaliating and getting into trouble if the peace order is not granted,” he said.

Albertina was in default to defend herself, and magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the peace order.
