A Bulawayo man says he is experiencing erectile dysfunction due to medication he is taking for a rare disease called Impersonate Anus, a type of birth defect called an anal malformation.
This disease doesn’t allow Tinotenda Mudarikwa,38, to pass stool properly. He had an operation in 2020 to alleviate this issue, however, his libido has decreased and he suspects that the pills he has been taking are the cause of his erectile dysfunction.
He founded an organization called Rare Diseases and Disability Africa Zimbabwe (RaDDA), which has since also crumbled and he suspects this is due to spiritual reasons.
Mudarikwa who grabbed headlines in recent years after a messy divorce, said he is worried that it is a bad omen which has affected his life such as his failed marriage, failed fatherhood and failed organisation.
“I can’t be suffering from Imperforate Anus, failed marriage, failed fatherhood, failed organization, erectile dysfunction, is it bad omen
“Imhepo, ijambwa here, I don’t know what’s wrong. My manhood is no longer functioning, it’s now been a long time but I am suspecting that it’s due to a lot of pills for bipolar which I am taking.
“Just my mother praying for me. I just want to open my issue.
“Some are saying maybe ndakaitirwa chivanhu. I was sexually active but it all changed.
“It pains me because I can’t move on, it pains me that my manhood is no longer working.
“I need help from anyone who can help, I suspect my marriage died because of this problem.”
Tino said, after the operation in 2020, his problem has lessened.
“I had an operation in 2022 and I no longer mess myself every time, I used to mess up in public, it would just come.
“My libido is now low; my feelings have disappeared. I suspect pills which I have been taking since 2020.
“Imaging taking 5 to 8 pills every day. I want to be a productive man, I want to be sexually active,” he said.
He is ready to share his story.
“I am ready to speak openly about my situation, I messed myself and I have a condition called bipolar which I was diagnosed with in 2020.
“The last time I messed myself in town, three weeks back. The mess comes at once like diarrhoea and there are no breaks anal rectum malformation.
“I have had this problem since 1985 and I need a toilet close to me, because zvinogona kungobuda.
“The kind of job that I want is home schooling, teaching O Level maths. I am not looking for Zimbabweans to give me money but I want my own chance.”
On his marital challenges he said:
“I am married to chapter 5: 11 but never stayed for more than 6 months together. We have been separated for three years and we wedded on September, 25 2020.
“I can’t get into another marriage since he has the marriage certificate. I have reached a stage of divorce but I don’t have money, if I think of moving on, my manhood is not functioning.
“I am 38 but still mess in my pants, I am still staying with my mom, my biological father is not anywhere to be found.
“I need to stay close to the toilet, the rectum system is not working.”
