Why Ibra chose Man U

MANCHESTER. — Zlatan Ibrahimovic could have joined AC Milan instead of Manchester United if the Italian club had enough money, according to Mino Raiola.

The 34-year-old moved to Old Trafford on a free transfer after leaving Paris Saint-Germain at the end of last season, and has made an immediate impact with three goals in his opening three English Premier League games.

Ibrahimovic, who has won league titles in Holland, Italy, Spain, Italy and France, spent two seasons at AC Milan, and the striker’s agent admits a return to the Serie A club could have been an option if money wasn’t a factor.

“Italy cannot afford him, so we had to work out other plans,” Raiola told Mediaset. — The Mirror.
