MANCHESTER. — Yaya Toure has been humiliated by his omission from Manchester City’s Champions League soccer squad.
City boss Pep Guardiola dropped the bombshell decision on Friday -without giving the 33-year-old Ivory Coast international the courtesy of telling him that he wasn’t being included in his 21-man selection for Europe.
Toure’s Barcelona-based agent Dimitri Seluk revealed that Toure remains committed to seeing out the final year of his £220 000-a-week contract at the Etihad despite the snub.
But Seluk believes that Guardiola will owe the midfielder at apology if he fails to make City European champions this season. — The Mirror.
