FANS have rallied behind Nkayi musician’s viral plea for a car to carry his guitar.
Nkayi’s barefoot musical hero, Sikhosana Buhlungu, has set social media ablaze with a soulful video serenade directed at flamboyant businessman Sir Wicknell Chivayo—respectfully asking for a vehicle to help ease his musical hustle.

Known for pedalling kilometres on his bicycle just to perform in Nkayi Centre, the humble guitarist poured his heart out from the back seat of a bus in a moving Facebook video.
“Respected Chivayo, I greet you this morning,” begins Sikhosana, clad in his signature humble style. “On behalf of Sikhosana Band, I love you dearly and admire your work.”

The heartfelt performance doubles as a prayer, with the aging artiste asking for just one thing, a car.
“It is my wish to drive and carry my music equipment. Can I have a car to carry my guitar, life yangu ireruke,” he sings.

The video closes on a humble note: “Sir, I thank you. I am Sikhosana Band, tamba mhashu. As Sikhosana, I am very humble. Ndokutendai.”
Netizens didn’t waste time. WhatsApp groups and TikTok have exploded with calls for Chivayo to “bless the legend from Nkayi.” Fans are calling the move “a masterclass in humility.”

Sir Wicknell, known for his billionaire benevolence, has gifted luxury whips to celebrities including Jah Prayzah, Sandra Ndebele, Kapfupi and even random strangers, all worth tens of thousands.
What makes this story even more surreal? Chivayo once revealed his philanthropic spirit stems from a 1994 prophecy in Nkayi that said a rich man from the Johanne Masowe sect would one day give out cars “like plain buns.”

Social media is now waiting with bated breath. Will the prophecy come full circle and bring a ride to the man who sings for the people on two wheels?
One fan summed it up perfectly: “He’s not begging. He’s praising. This is pure, respectful talent. Chivayo, do the right thing.”
