A DOMBOSHAVA woman left the courtroom bursting with anger after a protection order application against her husband was thrown out.
Beauty Chabvuta had approached the Harare Civil Court seeking a protection order against Peacemore Chingoto.
Beauty said she had been married to Peacemore for nine years and had never known peace since their union.
However, magistrate Tamara Chibindi dismissed the application citing lack of merit.
Beauty said:
“He is my husband, and I want him to stop insulting me and calling me a prostitute.
“He insults me with obscenities in front of our children, even in public, anotoita manyemwe chaiwo.
“Last month, he assaulted me with fists and a belt,” she said.
But Peacemore disputed the allegations.
“Your Worship, I never raised a hand at her, my wife is a liar indeed.
“The only issue is that she doesn’t want me to reprimand her as her husband anotozviona sababa mumba.
“I want her to show the court evidence that I harassed her,” said Peacemore.
