THE Ethanol Boys dominated the ZIFA Eastern Region Division One League and bulldozed their way into the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League.
They sealed their top-flight ticket with an unbeaten run, amassing 66 points, with four games to spare.
Mutare City Rovers are second with 54 points.
Although head coach, Lloyd Mutasa, believes they just need a few additions, they have one of the biggest goalkeeping prospects in Tedious Baye.
Baye has managed 22 clean sheets, justifying the reason he was preferred ahead of veteran Chris Mverechena.
They also have veteran forward, Ishmael Lawe, the current top goal scorer, with 12.
Cloud Mapako also made a difference, after his arrival from Golden Eagles, and he could easily be snatched up by the big teams.
They also have a proven defensive midfielder, Livingstone Genti, and defender Obey Mwerahari, who have vast experience.
But, they will be tested next season in the top-flight league.
Leeroy Murape believes they are ready to set the PSL alight.
“We are a small team going to the PSL,” he said.
“It’s definitely going to be difficult, playing against teams with a rich history, and experience.
“They will be there to intimidate us, in many ways.
“It will be up to us to stand our ground and write our own history.
“So, as players, we are all delighted by the new challenge ahead.
“Individually, I am ready and buzzing to go.
“From the first game our target was to gain promotion.
“So, the opportunity has now come and it’s up to us to carry the fighting spirit.”
He added:
“As for now we will be concentrating on our remaining games as we want to finish strongly.
“We feel we still have everything to play for as we prepare ourselves for the big challenge next season.
“We hope we are going to be using our stadium for home matches.
“The community here has been supportive and they deserve to watch top-flight football on their doorsteps.”
Murape has six goals to his name and wants to add a few more in the remaining games.
“We can’t put on the handbrake because we have qualified.”
