Wilo rallies Bindura Utd

BINDURA United coach John Wilo says his side will rise above the challenges they are facing, which saw the departure of three members of the technical team, when they host ZRP FC tomorrow at Chipadze.
Assistant coaches, Zacks Kataya and Collin Chawasarira, have left as well as team manager, Tedius Nsalapi.

Kataya tendered his resignation letter to the executive on October 2 after their game against Lake Harvest before Chawasarira and Nsalapi also left.
Wilo said the past few weeks have not been easy but they have to move on as a club.

“We have been preparing well although we have one or two things to polish up comparing to last week’s preparations. We are almost there, I know it’s going to be a difficult game.

“Life will never be the same and it’s a difficult situation but we have to soldier on considering the way we were doing in the first round.

“We had a full technical department, now I am left alone. Some decided to quit, maybe there is a purpose but life will never be the same again.

“We were like a family, it’s like someone just died and I am still mourning but whilst we are mourning we have to work.

“I have been working with my captain (Zivanai Mhanda) and he is doing well. Definitely we will rise, the players vowed to win and I am just relying on them to deliver on Sunday.

“The players have maintained a positive attitude and they have said let’s just deal with what we have. So I think we are heading in the right direction,” said Wilo.

Bindura secretary-general Elias Banda said they are working on finding replacements for the technical department.

“I can confirm Kataya left, he tendered his resignation letter on the 2nd of October, so we are currently working on having a replacement.

“We have also tasked the coach to find someone suitable for the job.

“His reason, as far as I know, he stated that he wants to attend to his ailing father, which he could not do because of the pressing commitments for the team,” said Banda.
