Wilshere boost for Wenger

LONDON. — Arsene Wenger has received good news on Jack Wilshere and hopes the Arsenal midfielder will definitely be fit to face Chelsea next weekend. England star Wilshere has a small chance of being fit to face Galatasaray tomorrow after injuring his ankle in the North London derby on Saturday. But more realistically, Wilshere will be fit to play at Stamford Bridge which comes as a welcome boost after their injuries were assessed yesterday.

Arsenal boss Wenger will confirm today at his pre-Champions League press conference that Aaron Ramsey will be out for around a month after pulling a hamstring.
That will also rule him out for Wales’ games. There was slightly better news on Mikel Arteta as his calf strain is likely to keep him out for three weeks.

But Arteta will be back soon after the international break which is a major relief. They are short defensively but hope that Per Mertesacker can manage both the Galatasaray and Chelsea games before the international break will give him some rest following his decision to retire from Germany duty. — Mirror-Goal.com
