Winky D, Baba Harare invade Beitbridge

After successfully releasing his latest Extended Play (EP) titled Love Quartet which features four songs, Zim Dancehall heavyweight Winky D will be taking his new offering to Beitbridge on 1 June.

This will be Winky D’s fresh appearance at the border town as he last performed in Beitbridge in 2022.
He will share the stage with exciting Jiti musician Baba Harare, an electrifying fellow who makes a return at Pagomba Café as he last performed at the arena on its opening event earlier this year after its full refurbishment.

Proprietor of Pagomba Café Tapiwa Gandiwa said Winky D’s event comes by public demand as his local legion of fans requested for the Gafa Party.

“We are new in Beitbridge and one of the things that we believe will make us survive businesswise here in the border town is to listen to what our patrons want and prefer to consume.

The upcoming Winky D show was created after listening to our patron’s requests who last saw the Gaffer performing here in 2022. So, we decided to honour their request as they are the people who always support us.

“We strive to give quality entertainment to our patrons and that is why we then recruited another stellar performer who is Baba Harare to be part of the show. Fans have to brace themselves for an electric night as we host two of the country’s music giants,” said Gandiwa.

Winky D’s manager Jonathan Banda confirmed the event. He gave a hint that Winky D will perform songs from his latest offering which are Dai, Shift, Iyeye as well as Akayenda featuring Frya.

“It’s always bliss for Winky D to invade Beitbridge as we have created lasting memories in the past shows there and we are excited to be returning after we last staged a performance two years ago.
Winky has fresh joints which are part of the newly released EP and his fans will have a chance to sample some of the tunes on a live platform,” said Banda.
