The ninja president, Wallace Chirimuko, popularly known as Winky D brought the house down with a lively act at Horizon Pub and Grill on Friday evening.

His fans thronged the venue as early as 9PM though he only took to the stage at 1AM as the club management waited for the venue to fill up.

When Winky D’s brother, Trevor ‘Layan-Soldier’ Chirimuko made his way into the pub, avid fans knew the Bigman was somewhere nearby and started screaming uncontrollably. A few minutes later, Winky D jumped onto the stage with the trademark “Igwee” with fans screaming and jumping to welcome him.

The Musarove Big Man hit-maker opened the show with hit song Tavharisa 2010 which sent fans into a frenzy.

Patrons danced along as the dancehall king brought down the house with a vibrant mix of hit-songs. With the help of his Vigilance band which is now using an electric drum set, the ninja president unleashed dancehall hits such as Sando Dzangu, Wakasara, Messi WeReggae, Zora Butter, Ndikudzidzise Joma and Ninja Saturday among others.

He had the crowd which had been warmed up by music from Judgement Yard’s DJ Flevah on its feet for two hours. Fans also had an opportunity to sample his new singles, Dancehall Igwe, Pazvikona and Seesaw.

To assist him sing his hit-song Taitirana, which features dancehall artiste Lipsy, Winky D asked a female fan to sing Lipsy’s lyrics. Although the fan who looked at little bit shy at the beginning did not get it right the first time, she managed to regain her confidence and did justice to the song.
