WINKY D and rapper Takura have a soft spot for Masvingo fans.
The duo opened up during their recent performance in the ancient city.
They held a sold-out gig alongside Feli Nandi at the Caravan Park, which has become Winky D’s favourite hunting ground.
“It is always an honour to come and perform at events such as this because I get to mingle with my fans,” Winky D told H-Metro.
“I always give my best each time that I perform here.
“I’m in love with the people of this town because they genuinely love my music.
“I will always love them and deliver to the best of my ability.”
Similar sentiments were echoed by Takura.
“I am always in Masvingo but this time it felt different because I was sharing the stage with Winky D.
“Our main goal was to support the Great Zimbabwe tourism sector and as entertainers we did what we did,” Takura said.
“We will continue using our influence to ensure that we market this area as a tourism resort of choice.”
