Winter Shutdown roars into life tonight as men of the moment Jah Prayzah and Killer T share the stage at Private Lounge. All camps promised fireworks saying the show was a tribute to their fans who supported them over the past months.
Killer T, through his manager Brian Marukutira popularly known as Bima, said it was good for them to have a tribute show for their fans.
“Usually shows do not do well during winter but our fans were with us and they gave us the support. It is good for us to give them a super show as a way of thanking them,” he said.
He said they were happy that their album “Ngoma Ndaimba” managed to reach people of all ages.
“People from all walks of life have appreciated our music and it is a milestone for us,” he said.
He said the musician made an effort to have lyrics that give good messages to all people especially ghetto youths.
“If you notice, he has managed to capture what is happening in the day-to-day lives of people and that has contributed to the success of the album,” he said.
Songs such as “Takumbofarawo,” “Chikorobho”, “Itai Ndione” and “Usamanikidze Rudo” are doing well on the airwaves. His album and Jah Prayzah’s “Jerusarema” are topping the charts and most songs from the two albums are fast becoming anthems in most public places. Since the release of the album Killer T, popularly known as The Chairman, has managed to thrill fans at most of his live shows. On the other hand, Keen Mushapaidze, who is Jah Prayzah manager, said they are geared up for the show.
Event organisers said they have put in place everything and it is up to the musicians to give their best to their fans.
