THE case involving hip-hop artiste Mukudzei Chitsama, popularly known as Holy Ten, who is facing allegations of raping a 14-year-old girl, has been deferred to September 25 as the State awaits a forensic report.
Harare magistrate Mrs Jessie Kufa presided over the matter while Mr Lancelotte Mutsokoti appeared for the State.
It is alleged that on July 20 at around 3 pm, the complainant and her friend went to Avondale shopping centre where Holy Ten was recording music.
The two reportedly waited for him to finish because the girl was expected to feature in his music video.
The friend later left, after which Holy Ten allegedly took the girl to a bed-and-breakfast establishment in Hatfield where he was staying and working.
Upon arrival, Holy Ten took the girl to his room and locked the door from inside. The State alleges that he then threatened the girl, telling her to comply with his demands or he would kill her.
It is the State’s case that after the act, Holy 10 instructed a man to hail an InDrive for the complainant and it took her to Avondale shops, where she met up with her aunt, whom she is staying with.
The aunt asked her where she was coming from. At first she lied that she had visited a friend, but later narrated what had transpired.
The aunt then accompanied her to make a police report, leading to the singer’s arrest. His four accomplices are still at large.
