MUTARE diva, Rutendo Jackie, reckons she has worked hard to win the hearts of fans and promoters in Harare.
The Afro-fusion exponent, who has been alternating between Harare and Mutare for performances, believes her hard work is now paying off.
To date, she has performed at Gava Restaurant, Alliance Francaise and other corporate events and her appeal is growing.
This has also broadened her fan base and network, which the mother of two has always been yearning for.
Tomorrow, the Blue Band boss is expected to serenade fans at Theatre in Park, nestled in the heart of Harare Gardens.
RJ, as the diva is fondly known, has vowed to represent female artists with pride, wherever she performs.
“As demanded by my fans, I will also perform some of the tracks off my latest EP, especially the hit song Tsvimbo ne Dohwe.
“This concert is special to me and my fans because I have been afforded the platform to connect and interact with them.
“It’s also my first concert alone at Theatre in the Park.”
She added:
“My last performance in Harare was at Gava’s Restaurant in May where we had a blast.
“At this performance, (Theatre in the Park), we are also going to be promoting my single titled Chawapihwa featuring Sylent Nqo.”
She had an opportunity to rope in Jah Prayzah’s music director at Military Touch Movement (MTM) stable, Victor Stot, on a single titled Waya Waya.
Last year, she worked with South Africa-based music producer, Mr Brown, who collaborated with her on the song Don’t Let Go.
She is also a fashion designer who has her own label.
