Police in the Midlands are appealing to members of the public to help identify the body of a female adult who died on admission at Kwekwe District Hospital after she experienced some labour pains while at a bus terminus in Kwekwe.

Acting Midlands police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Ethel Mukwende said the now deceased had no identity particulars with her, and the body had been stuck in mortuary at Kwekwe District Hospital since July this year.

“On July 27, 2017 the unidentified woman, who was about 22 weeks pregnant and was at Kwekwe long distance bus terminus, suddenly started gasping. She was later taken to Kwekwe District Hospital where she died on admission.” Asst Insp Mkwende said the woman, who appeared to be in her 30s had no identification papers and her destination was not known,” she said.
