A HARARE woman was all smiles after being granted a peace order against her husband’s lover.

Faith Mawire was having a dispute with her husband’s girlfriend, Rutendo Kalinda.

Faith told the court that Rutendo had been subjecting her to physical and verbal abuse.

She also accused Rutendo of calling her a witch.

Faith said:

“Rutendo insults and assaults me whenever we meet in the streets.

“She made a mockery of me saying my husband loves her more because I don’t know how to bath.

“When her child died, she accused me of causing her death.”

In response, Rutendo argued that Faith was the one disturbing her peace.

“Yes, I admit that I once had an affair with her husband, but that doesn’t give her the right to harass me when she feels like.

“When I was seven months pregnant, Faith assaulted me.

“I want her to be barred from verbally and physically abusing me, it is disturbing me mentally,” Rutendo.
