A HARARE woman was yesterday granted a protection order against her ex-husband after proving that he makes unannounced visits to her house.

Natasha Mawere told magistrate Rutendo Machingura that her ex-husband, Tichawona Dube, comes to her house as he pleases on the pretext that he wants to see their child.

“On the 16th of August he was at my house around midnight shouting at me.

“Just because we have a child together doesn’t mean he has the right to come over as he pleases.

“On top of that, he wants full custody of my child. The court should help me stop this madness,” Natasha said.

Tichawona asked the magistrate how he was supposed to have contact with his child when the mother was against it.

“She is saying I must communicate before going to see my child How when my number is blocked?

“If it pleases her, the protection order can be granted but dates must be set so that I visit my child,” he said.
