A Harare woman has appeared in court for allegedly failing to comply with her bail conditions after she failed to report to the police as required.

Annalisa Tadiwanashe Muguwe (29), a cosmetics dealer, appeared before Harare magistrate Ms Ruth Moyo for a default inquiry.

The matter is still pending. Muguwe is already facing charges of cyberbullying and had been granted US$100 bail. As part of her bail conditions, she is required to report once a week on Fridays at CID Law and Order.

However, she allegedly failed to return to court on the stipulated date, prompting the issuance of a warrant of arrest.

The complainant in the cyberbullying matter is her former boyfriend.

According to the State, on May 17, 2026, the complainant became aware of a series of social media posts allegedly published by Muguwe on Instagram under the username “analisamuguwe”.

Prosecutors allege that the posts contained serious accusations, threats and false statements capable of inciting fear, damaging the complainant’s reputation and endangering his safety.

The court heard that the publications alleged there had been an assassination and kidnapping attempt against Muguwe involving seven men and three women allegedly linked to the complainant.

The posts further claimed that the individuals involved were agents sent by a person identified only as “JB”, who was allegedly responsible for and liable for the purported assassination and kidnapping attempts.

The State alleges that the publications contained threatening and inflammatory language and that Muguwe’s conduct caused substantial emotional distress, humiliation and reputational harm to the complainant.
