out of the road on Sunday evening, police have said.
She was later dumped in a bushy area.
According to police, Shamiso Hether Wurayayi (34) fell unconscious after an unknown powder was blown into her face after she screamed for help.
The incident occurred at around 2am as Wurayayi was driving a metallic gold Toyota Fortuner towards Harare from Mudhara Farm in Tengwe, Karoi.
She had gone to the farm earlier and found that there was no one and decided to return to Harare.
However, on approaching the 105km peg, she noticed that a white Nissan Sunny was trailing her before it overtook her.
Mashonaland West police spokesperson Inspector Clemence Mabgweazara said investigations were still in progress.
He said after travelling several metres the Nissan made a U-turn and headed towards Chinhoyi before making another U-turn approaching her car.
The robbers made another U-turn and started following her again.
This time, Insp Mabgweazara said, the vehicle was flashing its lights indicating that she had to pull over.
Before she could stop, the vehicle overtook her from the left side forcing her to veer off the road and she stopped by the side of the road.
Four men emerged from the car and three of them approached her before one of them smashed the front passenger window.
They reportedly ejected her from the car and two of them bundled her into the backseat.
“The two men flanked her while one of them took over control of the vehicle and drove towards Chinhoyi,” he said.
“She tried to scream for help and one of them took some powder from his trouser pocket and blew it in her face and she fell unconscious.
“When she woke up six hours later she was in a bushy area near Hunyani Farm in Chinhoyi.”
Insp Mabgweazara said the carjackers got away with the vehicle, a handbag, US$40, R300, a Samsung Galaxy phone and charger all worth about US$60 000.
