Woman loses front teeth

A HARARE woman lost her front teeth after she was punched by her husband following an altercation over his ex-wife.

Memory Making was granted a protection order against her husband, Edward Pasipanodya, by magistrate Rutendo Machingura.

Memory told the court that Edward was trying to rekindle his relationship, with his ex-wife, and she took exception to that.

“He got physical with me after I confronted him about his ex-wife.

“Edward punched me and I lost my front line teeth,” Memory said.

Edward rejected his wife’s testimony saying he couldn’t have assaulted her since he is always at work.

“She is lying against me. I am always at work. I have never tried to rekindle a relationship with my ex-wife,” he said.

The magistrate granted the protection order, as Edward’s defence was not convincing.
