Woman loses shack in polony brawl

A FIGHT over her kidsa�� lunchbox polony has cost a woman her shack and everything in it.

Geaneth Mathebula (28) from Katlehong, Ramokonopi section said she used to come home and find her unemployed boyfriend had helped himself to the kidsa�� polony in the fridge.

Geaneth said she initially turned a blind eye and just bought another one.

However, on Sunday, gatvol Geaneth decided to break the silence and address the issue. The decision proved costly!

She said: a�?I asked him why he was eating the kidsa�� lunch and told him to stop. And I said he must go and find work.a�?

Geaneth said usually when they argued, her boyfriend of 11 months would respond.

a�?This time he just kept quiet,a�? she said.

On Monday she was dropping her kids off at school when she got a call to rush home.

a�?When I got there I found my shack on fire.a�? She said people told her her boyfriend had burnt the shack.

a�?Wea��ve lost everything. The clothes we are wearing are the only things we have,a�? she said. When her kids, aged nine and seven, came back from school they were shocked to find they no longer had a home.

The fire at Geanetha��s place also affected her neighbour Katleho Mashabela (36,) who was also at work at the time.
Katleho said he lost all his valuables.

Their mastandi, Moses Mbele (58), said he saw the boyfriend going up and down in the yard but wasna��t sure why.

a�?Then he left and seconds later, there was a fire,a�? he said.

The boyfrienda��s phone has been on voicemail since.

Geaneth said she doesna��t want to open a case yet. Shea��s hoping her boyfriend will return so they can fix the shack.-online .
