A 29-YEAR-OLD man from Harare is currently fighting for his life in hospital nursing severe burns after his wife scalded him with boiling cooking oil over infidelity allegations.

Luckmore Nandoro, a security guard, and his wife, 25-year-old Eunice Natalie Tande, allegedly had a heated argument around 10am.

During the confrontation, Eunice accused Luckmore of being unfaithful.

Under the weight of fatigue, Luckmore retreated to their bedroom to rest, having just returned from a night shift.

In a shocking turn of events, while Luckmore was asleep, Eunice boiled cooking oil and poured it over his head, shoulders and chest.

After the act, she fled the scene.

Luckmore was quickly taken to Sally Mugabe Hospital by a neighbour. His injuries are critical, affecting significant areas of his body.

Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, the ZRP Harare provincial police spokesperson, confirmed the incident, stating that Eunice later surrendered to the police.

“We have arrested a woman for attempted murder.

“Her husband suffered severe burns and is currently hospitalised,” said Insp Chakanza.
