A HARARE woman is appealing to anyone who knows the whereabouts of the father of her child.
The woman, said she once approached the court claiming maintenance for the daughter she had with Watson Hlangabeza 12 years ago.
She said he had been dodging her and his daughter’s responsibilities.
“As soon as he recognises that it’s me calling, he hangs up the phone.
“He keeps changing residential addresses and now I don’t know where to find him.
“I approached the Maintenance Court and he only paid for few years after our separation,” she said.
The woman said she has several warrants for his arrest, but does not know where to find him.
The woman claimed she started an affair with Watson after he lied to her that he was not married. She only found out the truth that Watson had a wife and kids when she was already pregnant.
“To be honest, I was not aware of his status. Ndakatonotambirwa semuroora mutsva kumusha kwavo and his mother never told me that I was a second wife.
“However, the relationship did not last and we went our separate ways.”
She said she had tried to locate him through relatives, but nothing came up.
“His daughter needs his support. I have been managing to take care of her, but now things are getting hard and the girl keeps asking about her father.
“I need help as I don’t know what to do since I cannot locate him.”
