Woman stones her daughters to death

Police have arrested two siblings on allegations of assaulting their father (81) accusing him of witchcraft before they took turns to stone two girls to death.

The incident happened in Mhari Village, Bikita, Masvingo when the two, Clever Mavhunga (35) and Modina Mavhunga (28) reportedly assaulted their father Anisto Mavhunga using sticks.

Further to the bizarre act, the duo force-marched the girls (aged two and five) to a graveyard where Modina, mother to the two minors, ordered them to lie on top of a grave, hitting them on their heads with stones until they died on the spot.
