Woman stripped naked in search for lost mobile phone

A Redcliff woman was left naked after an altercation over a mobile phone got out of hand.

The married woman, Tulane Mateyo, was stripped by Johnson Taruvinga over his mobile phone that went missing while on the charger at a local shop.

Taruvinga allegedly forcibly removed Mateyoa��s clothes as he conducted a body search, allegedly fondling the womana��s breasts as he searched for the phone.

Mateyo was not amused and she reported the matter to the police leading to Taruvingaa��s arrest.

For the offence he was arraigned before Kwekwe magistrate Lavroe Philemon facing an indecent assault charge.

Mateyo claimed to have been scared by Taruvinga.

a�?He threatened me with death and ordered me to strip before he fondled me all over the body. I was left totally naked because I feared for my life,a�? she said.

The magistrate, however, found Taruvinga not guilty becauseA� Mateyo consented to the accuseda��s actions and there was no evidence of forced action. .
