A BUDIRIRO man has been granted a protection order against his ex-wife.
Cephas Mutokwiza convinced magistrate Tamara Chibindi that his ex-wife, Juliet Jowana, has been sending death threats to him.
He also told the court that Juliet lied about their son’s paternity.
Cephas accused Juliet of destroying his shop.
“She has a tendency of coming to my shop throwing stones, and destroyed all the windows.
“On several occasions, she threatened to kill me. Juliet texted me saying that she will pay someone to end my life.
“The son, who I thought was mine, turned out not to be mine,” he said
Cephas said the truth came out when one of their co-tenants started claiming that he was the biological father.
“I did a paternity test and it was proven that I was not the biological father.
“After the test, I stopped all my responsibilities as a father to the child.
“She has been calling and texting me saying I must give her money for the child’s upkeep.
“Whenever her child is sick, she comes to my shop demanding money,” Cephas said.
Juliet was in default to defend herself.
Magistrate Chibindi granted the protection to Cephas.
