Women cricketers in camp

ZIMBABWE Cricket women’s team coach Trevor Phiri is happy with the preparation for the tour of South Africa which they are going to use as a build-up for the International Cricket Council Women’s Cricket Regional Qualifiers. The side has intensified their training and they are hopeful that the matches they are going to play in Cape Town will be a huge boost for the regional qualifiers set for December.

The qualifiers will be staged in Uganda from December 14-16.
Phiri’s team regrouped yesterday at the Country Club and are expected to have their first session at Harare Sports Club today.

Zimbabwe is expected to leave for South Africa next Monday and will play preparatory matches against the Western Province women’s team in Cape Town from October 30 to November 5.
