PRESIDENTIAL Advisor Dr Paul Tungwarara has described the Women’s League Empowerment Fund launched by President Mnangagwa in Harare on Monday as a key initiative in uplifting women’s livelihoods.
Speaking at the launch, Dr Tungwarara, who is one of the brains behind the Fund, described women as gifts that nurture generations.
As such, he said, they should continuously be empowered.
“Empowerment should benefit and unite party structures.
“Our mandate is to ensure that we hand over empowerment projects to the people under the mantra of leaving no one and no place behind,” he said.
Dr Tungwarara praised President Mnangagwa for being a listening leader who is committed to empowering everyone, including women.
The enthusiasm and support witnessed at the launch signal a hopeful future where women are not just participants, but key drivers of Zimbabwe’s economic prosperity.
The Fund marks the beginning of a concerted effort to uplift women, ensuring that their contributions are recognised and valued in the nation’s development narrative.
The launch was attended by Cabinet ministers, Zanu PF Politburo and Central Committee members and other senior Government officials.
