Women in music seek assistance

WOMEN in music have intensified preparations for the inaugural All-female Artists Music Gala.

The concert, being organised by Divas in Action, will be held at Pakare Paye, Norton, on July 15.

The line-up for the day will include Attalia Parehwa, Bridget Mlambo, Beauty Katiji, Caychi, Natasha Muz, Jully Bee, Precious Lady Bimma Mujibha, Flame Lily, Shantel Sithole, Fadzie Kays, Cee Kay, Vani Timbe, Patricia Sipanera and Sarah Dee.

And, to ensure a smooth show, a fundraising event has been put in place with the organisers inviting various supporters and well-wishers to give a helping hand.

The fundraising dinner will be held on July 14 at Cresta Oasis Hotel.

Sarah Dee said any help will go a long way in ensuring the growth of female artists in the country.

“Any assistance will be greatly appreciated and it will go a long way in strengthening our existence and developing the youth, especially the girl child, through music in Africa, and beyond.

“We are calling on companies, who are willing to be part of this, to come and share their journey with female artists in this industry of ours.

“They shall pour out their wishes on how they plan to expand their brands.

“They know they can expand this industry if the working environment is user-friendly and fair,” she said
