GOVERNMENT has started work on part of Solomon Mujuru Road, with a team already on the ground.

Chief Engineer Roads Maintenance in the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, Engineer Nyasha Buwa, said works include surfacing the road with 20mm asphalt overlay on 700 mm from the turnoff to N.Richards towards Sanganayi Inn.

“Drainage works, road marking and signage will be done once this part of the works are completed,” he said.

Eng Buwa said the ministry had teams that identified the work that needed to be done and brought back reports.

“From those reports, that’s where we normally identify what needs to be done and then we do the work,” he said.
