WOTA Global Training Centre to establish High School

WOTA Global Training Centre, known for its commitment to healthcare education, is poised to embark on an exciting new initiative: the establishment of a high school.

The announcement was made by CEO Jabulani Mguni during the organisation’s fourth annual graduation ceremony held last Saturday at S.O.S Hermann Gmeiner Primary School.

In his address, Mguni revealed plans for the “Light Knowledge Academy,” which aims to meet diverse educational needs through both Zimsec and Cambridge examinations.

“This is part of our expansion drive towards holistic education and health-focused learning,” he stated.

Today marks a significant milestone in our journey. We’ve acquired skills, knowledge, and hands-on experience in our chosen vocations. As we stand here, we’re not just graduates – we’re pioneers, innovators, and problem-solvers. We’re equipped to shape our communities, drive economic growth, and make a meaningful impact.

Remember, vocational training is not just about mastering a trade; it’s about:

– Embracing creativity and innovation
– Developing resilience and adaptability
– Fostering collaboration and teamwork
– Cultivating entrepreneurial spirit

As you go forth, remember that your skills are in demand. Be bold, be fearless, and be proud of your accomplishments,” he said.

The ceremony marked a significant milestone, with over 100 students receiving certificates after completing courses in medical theory, dementia care, geriatric aide, beauty therapy, hair-dressing, hotel and catering, solar installation, and vocational training in hospitality and beauty therapy.

These graduates are now equipped to tackle pressing issues, such as the ongoing drug and substance abuse crisis in Zimbabwe.

Guests of honour at the event, Mr. Henry Ndlovu and Mrs. Miltah Nyathi, emphasised the importance of continuous learning.

“This opportunity is a once-in-a-lifetime one. I urge them (graduands) to evolve and continue learning. Mguni has given them a platform, now they need to continue the cycle and better their lives,” Nyathi remarked, urging graduates to embrace lifelong education.

Mguni reiterated the importance of nurturing talent within Zimbabwe, aligning with the President’s vision of fostering youth potential.

“Education is an eye-opener,” he noted, stressing that opportunities exist not only abroad but also within the nation.

The organisation aims to train every youth in Zimbabwe, including those without formal qualifications, by providing entrepreneurial skills that empower them to start their own businesses.

“Our vision is clear: equip the youth with skills that can create employment opportunities,” Mguni added.

WOTA Global Training, which has branches in Bulawayo, Harare, and Gwanda, plans to expand to 50 locations nationwide by 2025, with aspirations for international reach.

“We are targeting to launch branches in all cities of Zimbabwe and abroad,” he confirmed.

The graduation ceremony was enlivened by performances from local artistes, including the music duo Simz Masuku and Reilo Viekk, Sage M-1, and dancer MJ, creating a celebratory atmosphere for the graduates and their families.
