Would-be rapist’s manhood cut

The woman was sleeping on the pavement after failing to get transport to Nembudziya in Gokwe last weekend.
Patrick Maposa, who is of no fixed abode, allegedly sustained several cuts on his private parts in the attack.
Maposa was swiftly apprehended by security guards at shops in the city.
The guards handed him over to the police.
Masvingo provincial police spokesman Inspector Tineyi Matake on Tuesday said Maposa was still in custody assisting with investigations.
“We arrested the suspect after his-would-be victim foiled the rape attempt.
“Investigations are still continuing and we are going to charge the suspect with attempted rape,” he said.
On the fateful day, Maposa saw the woman sleeping on the pavement along Hoffmeyer Street and allegedly tried to rape her.
He allegedly sneaked into the woman’s blankets and started asking the woman to have sex with him.
The woman reportedly turned him down and told him to get out of her blankets.
Maposa, however, tried to forcibly remove the woman’s pant but she cut him on his private parts using the razor blade.
The ensuing scuffle alerted the guards who rushed to the scene and apprehended Maposa before handing him to the police. – CR.
