NESBERT “YABO’’ SARUCHERA just can’t relinquish the special relationship he has with the Northern Region Soccer League.

For the third time this season, the seasoned gaffer has been named the NRSL Supafix Coach of the Month for August.

Saruchera has ensured that his league debutants N’ombeyawora, cling onto pole position on the log staninds, fending off the surited challenge of Agama who have been lurking just two points behind for much of the last two months.

Resultantly, Saruchera has been voted the Coach of the Month once again.

The former Black Rhinos and Cranborne Bullets mentor has won the highest number of Supafix Coach of the Month awards this year.

Saruchera’s impressive feat is a reflection of his team’s dominance.

N’ombeyawora will be looking to retain top spot when they date fellow newboys Ali Sundowns in a Mabvuku derby clash at Waghadhugu.

In other Supafix awards, Clifton Chisveta of Golden Eagles was named Player of the Month, while Allan Morris of Zambezi G&C took home the Goalkeeper of the Month award.

Simon Grey Kufandada of Agama was rewarded for being the Top Goal Scorer of the Month with five goals.

Saruchera was grateful to the honour awarded to him and said he is expecting more for his side.

“More awards are going to come out our way as we are destined for greatness. But as N’ombeyawora family we are very happy and looking forward to having more awards.

“The award is a great motivation to the club, it shows our intentions and what we want to achieve this season,’’ he said.

In their match against Ali Sundowns, Saruchera said they are going to play for maximum points.

“But we are focused on our match against Ali Sundowns. It’s not going to be easy but we are going to collect three points,” he said.

While N’ombeyawora seek to maintain their place at the top, Agama will be praying for a slip up by Saruchera’s men.

Agama travel to Harare tomorrow to a tough assignment against third-placed Golden Eagles at Ellis Robins.

Hosts Golden Eagles, are trailing the red-hot Agama by eight points.

But in Tatenda Hapazari, Trevor Bunu and Chitsveta, Golden Eagles boast one of the league’s most lethal strikers.

Chitsveta has so far scored eight goals with Hapazari and Bunu having scored seven goals apiece.

Agama will be banking on the goal-scoring instincts of veteran strikers Tinashe Balakasi and Kufandada to lead their line.

The duo is the NRSL’s current top goalscorers having scored 10 goals each.

It could come down to disciplined defending to decide the Golden Eagles, Agama encounter.
